Electroforms for small parts
Electroforming is also particularly suited for manufacturing high precision small parts. GALVANOFORM has been manufacturing moulds for artificial teeth for several decades. Nickel tools for embossing or injection moulding are manufactured according to the individual designs of dental technicians In general the tools are made of approx. 2 - 3 mm hard nickel with a copper reinforcement of 10 - 15 mm.
As a rule, electroformed cavities for injection moulding are used in injection moulding tools. Besides for dental moulds, electroformed cavities are mainly used for ballpoint pens and pipette tips.
