Injection Moulding cavities

For injection moulding processes, electroforms are generally made of hard nickel / copper or of hard nickel / hard nickel-nickel. The deposited wall thickness is approx. 5 - 20 mm.

The electroformed cavities for injection moulding are fitted into existing injection moulding tools by the tool manufacturer.

Electroformed injection moulding tools are useful for diffi cult geometries, which are cumbersome to produce using conventional mechanical production processes. In this context, surfaces on bath models made of metal or plastics material are transferred directly into the nickel tool.
